The Crusaders United U17 Girls participated in the NEWSS College showcase this past Thanksgiving weekend on Long Island NY. This showcase draws many of the top teams in the Northeast region. The team, coached by Tim Dunn, won their flight playing 4 matches with a 3 win one draw record. The girls did not concede a goal during the entire tournament. The final match was heated and physical. They played through regulation, two overtimes and into a shootout. The Crusader's first three shooter (Olivia Parsons, Laura Nee and Alyssa Eaton) all scored on their penalty kicks while the Keeper Michaela Stuart saved two of the shots from the opposing team. Congratulations to the U17 Girls on an outstanding weekend and a great start to 2011/2012 season.
