The Crusaders United Soccer Club, based between Cape Cod and Boston, is proud to host its inaugural 2008 Crusaders United Cranberry Cup. The Cranberry Cup is an excellent way for club teams to prepare for their fall soccer season.

All games will be played on one of our 7 age appropriate full-sized grass soccer fields at Carver High School, and will be officiated by some of the top USSF registered referees in Massachusetts.

Under 10’s will play 8v8, while Under 11’s through Under 14’s will play 11v11. Teams are guaranteed three 50-minute games. 

Our concession stand/snack bar will be open each day for food and drink, as well as our tournament souvenir tent which will sell
t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

o       3 guaranteed 50-minute games

o       $400 – Under 10 teams (8v8)

o       $500 – Under 11-Under 14 teams (11v11)

§         Under 10’s: no playoffs, awards given to all participants

§         Under 11’s – Under 14’s: championship game for top team in each bracket

§         Tournament games will conclude for all divisions no later than 6pm on August 10th

§         8 teams per age group, divided into two groups of 4

TO REGISTER FOR THE TOURNAMENT:

Please register for the Cranberry Cup via www.soccerscheduler.com  at the following link:

o       www.gotsport.com/forms/app/?eventid=3151  

Teams should sign up for the age bracket based on the age group you played in the spring of 2008 or the 2007-2008 season!! 

o       Registration and Payment Deadline: July 19th, 2008

How to update your team information in your application:

o       Go to http://www.soccerscheduler.com/teams

o       Enter your username and password and click Login

o       In the gray bar along the top of the page you can click on a set of actions (Team Info, Roster, Manager, Coach, Contact Person) that will allow you to update each section of the application.

REGISTRATION NIGHT:

o       6-10pm on Friday August 8th

o       Registration will take place at the Hampton Inn & Suites (information below)

o       Teams will be required to provide the following information:

§         official club player cards

§         official club roster

§         birth certificates

§         state membership forms for each player

§         Permission to Travel form (if traveling from out of state)

Crusaders United request that all teams staying overnight on Friday August 8th and 9th stay at one of the above hotels.

We need your help to make the Cranberry Cup run as smooth as possible.

With an event containing over 60 teams, it is impossible to communicate to each team individually. The only way to guarantee everyone gets the right information is to post it on the website and have people check it on a regular basis. Therefore we can not stress enough how important it is for every team manager/contact/coach to have internet access during the tournament.

We also need you to pay close attention to all emails sent out by the Tournament Director in the weeks leading up to the tournament. These emails will contain important time-sensitive actions that you must complete before coming to the event.

When you register please ensure you give us accurate contact info. for your team (not the entire club). Each team needs a responsible main contact and it will be that contact that is responsible for passing on information to the rest of the team.
